If you start a compilers youtube channel that would be great I guess, maybe not for you but other people who seeks this area. I wouldnt say you can get million views btw, good luck with your new job
Congrats. I'm sure those jobs are few and far between but that's where the fun starts. Getting a high level language to Assembly (one of my favorite languages) is fascinating. Optimization is easy, but covering either more general cases in a unique and performant way, or thinking through really esoteric corner cases is what makes the brain tingle. At least when writing compilers as a hobby. I would love to hear more about what your focus is in a full time job and what particular problems you enjoy most.

Because of your passion I have a much better appreciation for compilers now.
Congratulations!
Congrats on the job and I can attest to how brutally competitive the job search is right now.
Thank you for sharing your experience!

Some of your instances of "latter" should be "former". :-)
P.S. You made it to the front page of Hacker News: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=45851495

Your hot take on auto-vectorisation and its
consequences? What's your take on aggressive autoparallelization?
